Courses

After teaching bow making and rehairing courses at (variously) Oxford, Morden and West Dean since 1991, I have now found a venue that wishes to offer courses on a regular basis.

Halsway Manor in Somerset, near Minehead, is a beautiful manor house mostly given over to teaching folk dance and folk music. In 2012 I 'inherited' a bow making course that had been fully booked and I was impressed by the venue, which is residential and entirely self contained.

There will be two summertime courses in August 2015; one for rehairing (though minor repairs such as stick correcting and lappings will be covered too) as a 'long weekend', and one for making which occupies a whole week.

I will only be teaching these courses, I cannot take bookings for it.

Please see their website www.halswaymanor.org.uk for more details.
